The Regensburg parish received a bishop for the first time in several years. The liturgy was celebrated in Church Slavonic and German; the Gospel was read in both languages and the litanies alternated.
After the service there was a meeting with the community: they spoke about the Sunday school, about how to welcome those entering an Orthodox church for the first time, and about plans for the parish feast.
A parish is alive not when it is numerous, but when there is someone in it to invite others.
